Philosophy

Our belief is that children need a welcoming environment that is safe, caring, comfortable, one that will promote all areas of a child’s development, including physical, social/emotional, and cognitive learning domains. We believe that each child is a wealth of potential, and we aim to provide tools and resources that will nurture them as they grow. The first few years of life are the most formative for children. We ensure that all learning activities cater to different learning styles and preferences. We identify children as individuals and understand that everyone is different and adapts to information in their own unique way. Teachers will work closely with parents to ensure a productive experience.

We encourage child’s play for healthy brain development. Play allows children to use their creativity and capitalizes on their natural curiosity. Children will construct their own meaning and understanding of how the world works through play.  Play enables children to develop a sense of identity, as well as the ability to make informed decisions.

Curriculum

City Strivers Nursery School provides efficient but flexible curriculum plans and activities that will accommodate group or individual needs and unexpected circumstances.  We have created our own theme-based curriculum, with a different theme every month. Our lessons are developmentally appropriate and include open-ended discovery, structured play and learning through creative expressions. We use songs, dance, sensory, play, and crafts to teach foreign language, science, language development, math, and promote motor skill development. While the curriculum does encourage structure, it also allows plenty of space for our early childhood educators to have fun and create a flexible learning environment for your child.

We believe that each child is a wealth of potential, and we aim to do everything possible to provide tools and resources that will nurture them as they grow. The first few years of life are the most formative, and children are able to soak up knowledge just like a sponge. Your child deserves a nurturing and creative world, one that offers a learning experience that stretches their minds as well as their bodies.
