Ajale Williams
My name is Ajale Williams, Owner/Operator of City Strivers Nursery School. From the very first time I was asked what I wanted to be when I grew up my answer was "I want to be a teacher". I use to pretend to be a teacher when I played with my dolls. I would line them up and tell them what to do. I have worked with children in the daycare setting as a teacher for many years. After a few years in the field I was able to obtain a certification in Early Childhood Education from The Bermuda College as well as SCARS and CPR/First Aid trained. I come with many years of experience and I am very passionate about delivering quality childcare services and molding our young ones into becoming future stars. It has always been my dream to own, operate and teach in my own daycare facility. I can proudly say that I have finally achieved my goal. I am wife and a mother to 4 beautiful children. In my spare time I love to spend time with family and friends, clean, shop and listen to music.
Owner, Director
Davika Hill has always wanted to work with children. Growing up, she wanted to be a pediatrician and it wasn’t until she stumbled upon a child and youth study course in college that she realised her true passion and purpose in early childhood education. She completed her Associates in Human Services at Bermuda College and soon after began her career in nursery and preschool education. Davika also has a background in administration and a passion for Human Resources and combined those skills sets to serve as deputy head teacher and head teacher at previous facilities she has worked at. Her personal philosophy is to be able to provide a safe, caring environment for her students to learn and grow in. She enjoys participating in personal development courses to keep her knowledge of the early childhood field up to date. Davika has also gone on to complete her Bachelors degree in Human Services with a concentration in Child & Family Studies.
Davika is very creative and enjoys writing poetry, creating visual art, cooking and roller skating in her spare time.

Person In Charge
Shawnette Bean
Deputy Head Teacher
Shawnette Bean comes to us with over 35 years of experience working with children in nursery schools and home settings. She has graduated from the Bermuda College with a Certificate in Nursery Training (NTC) and has also completed a child care course with The International Correspondence Schools. During her career, Shawnette has worked in all areas of early childhood from babies, right on up to primary school children.
Shawnette was inspired to work in early childhood by her grandmother. She recalls assisting her granny, who looked after children in her home. Shawnette enjoyed this so much that at 12 years old she knew she wanted to become a nursery teacher. Looking back over her education and career, and thinking of all the children that she has taught and cared for, she is grateful that she made the decision to become a nursery teacher.
Teaching is not all that Shawnette enjoys. In her spare time she enjoys reading, cooking, traveling, going for walks, surfing the internet and having good conversations.
Teacher Malikah has experience working with children from 3 months right on up to teens. Although she has worked with a wide range of ages, she really enjoys working with infants and toddlers. This shines through in her interactions with the infants in her class. Her passion for this field has lead her to pursue a certification in Early Childhood Education with Ashworth College and she is looking forward to becoming a qualified lead teacher upon completion of her program. In her spare time, Teacher Malikah enjoys reading, baking, cooking, and spending time with her daughters and her family.
